Why test
Preventative health starts with a number.
You can't feel your omega-3 level. A test shows where you stand today. Then you can make informed choices and track your progress.
See where you are
Your report shows your own omega-3 status, from your own blood.
Make informed choices
Choose your support based on your own result.
Measure your progress
Test again after about four months and compare the two.
What you get back
24 fatty acids. Four clear markers.
Omega-3 Index
The share of EPA and DHA in your red blood cells. 8% or more is the level the lab calls desirable.
Omega-6 to omega-3 ratio
The balance between the two families of fats in your blood.
AA to EPA ratio
A closer look at one omega-6 fat against one omega-3 fat.
Trans Fat Index
How much trans fat is in your red blood cells.
The laboratory
Analysed byOmegaQuant.
OmegaQuant is a CLIA-certified laboratory that specialises in fatty acid analysis. It was founded in 2009 by Dr William S. Harris. Dr Harris co-invented the Omega-3 Index in 2004 and has published over 200 research papers. European samples are analysed at the University of Stirling in the UK.

Understand
Your report arrives in 2 to 4 weeks. Now you know where you stand.
The number
What is the Omega-3 Index?
It is simpler than it sounds. Here it is in six steps.
-
01
Your body is built from cells
You have trillions of them. Blood cells, muscle cells, all of them.
-
02
Every cell has a wall
That wall is made of fat. The fat you eat becomes the wall you build.
-
03
Two of those fats come from food
They are called EPA and DHA. You get them from the food you eat.
-
04
The Index is a percentage
It is how much of your blood cell wall is made of EPA and DHA.
-
05
8% or more is the target
That is the level the lab calls desirable. Below it, you have room to move.
-
06
You can't feel it
A test is the way to know your level.
You collect a small sample at home. Your report arrives in 2 to 4 weeks.
A real number, from a real lab
Test, Understand, Support, Retest, Maintain
The second test shows your progress. The journey carries on.
